On 9 March, the 210th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth, 210 people from all over the world recited the poem “Katerina”.
Politicians, actors, public figures, business representatives, heads of educational institutions, the Ukrainian diaspora, representatives of various professions, students, volunteers and schoolchildren took part in the recitation of the poem.
The event was initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine with the support of the International Assistance Headquarters for Ukrainians.
The results of the record and its entry into the World Records Book will be announced on 11 March.
We are grateful to everyone who took part in this powerful event. Together, in unity, we were able to raise our spirits and once again declare the power of our Ukrainian state!
