Ukraine Records New Milestone: Border Guards Donate Over 196 Liters of Blood in a Single Day

On June 11, a new Record of Ukraine was officially established in the “Mass Events” and “Scale” categories for the “Largest volume of donor blood donated by border guards in a single day.”

Servicemen and women of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine from various regions across the country joined this large-scale donation initiative. In total, 436 border guards participated in setting the record, donating 196 liters and 200 grams of blood.

The Record-Breakers Include:

  • 6th Border Guard Volyn Detachment
  • 94th Border Guard Detachment
  • 27th Border Guard Detachment named after the Heroes of Karpatska Sich
  • 7th Border Guard Karpaty Detachment
  • 31st Border Guard Detachment named after General-Khorunzhiy Oleksandr Pylkevych
  • Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

This achievement is not just a record, but a vital humanitarian initiative, as donated blood saves the lives of Ukrainian military personnel and civilians every single day.
