Today, a Ukrainian record was set for the first-ever graduation of female excavator operators!

On October 24, Ukraine set a new record with the first collective graduation of women trained as excavator operators. These women received dual education at a training camp, making this achievement particularly significant.

The initiative was led by Yuliia Skichko, the head of the “School of Construction Equipment Operators” and the owner of the company “ALEF STROY,” in collaboration with Nemishayevo Professional College and the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.

The “Alef Stroy” School of Construction Equipment Operators is a unique institution that retrains women for professions traditionally dominated by men, such as excavator operators, thus breaking down gender stereotypes and barriers.

The record-setters were congratulated by Hanna Krysiuk, the CEO of the World Records Book, along with the record-holder and secretary of the Irpin City Council, Angela Makeeva.

Ms. Hanna wished the record-holders even more graduates from this unique school and expressed gratitude to the organizers for their powerful initiative, emphasizing that supporting Ukraine’s economy through such projects is a vital step toward victory.

Additionally, the partners who helped bring this extraordinary school to life were honored. These included the USAID “Competitive Economy Program” and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
