On 30th January in the city of Nuremberg (Germany) a unique achievement was officially recorded – the largest art object in the shape of a human hand made of plasticine.
The authors of the project, the OKTO FAMILY GROUP, created a 2-metre high sculpture with a 6-centimetre thick layer of plasticine.
The corporate hero of the OKTO Sensory Art brand is the hand, a symbol of touch and creativity. We embody it in the form of a 2 metre high large-scale art object. The base is made of foam and the outer layer, about 6 cm thick, is covered with light plasticine of our own production, made in the factory in Zhovkva,’ says Kateryna Libman, project manager and head of OKTO FAMILY GROUP.
The record was set by Oksana Schoorlemmer, a representative of the Book of World Records. She thanked the record holders for their initiative and stressed that the plasticine hand is an innovative work that promotes Ukrainian culture.
This achievement is an important contribution to the world of contemporary art and demonstrates new ways of working with innovative materials.
