On October 26, 2025, in the city of Zhovkva, Lviv region, a large-scale gastronomic event made history in Ukraine. On this day, a Ukrainian Record was officially confirmed in the category “Size” — “The Longest Queue for BashA Kitchen Barbecue Dishes in 1 Hour.”

The event began at 10:00 a.m., and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., a live queue was formed, stretching 646 meters. A total of 1,836 people participated in setting the record. Over 30 minutes, experts conducted an official count of both participants and the length of the queue, which continued to grow.

The record verification was carried out by the World Record Book team, including CEO Hanna Krysyuk and experts Nadiia and Ivan Lozan, Halyna Kovalska, and Vitalii Taradaik.

The official results were announced at 4:00 p.m., followed by a ceremonial award presentation. The mayor of Zhovkva, Oleh Volskyi, addressed participants online, thanking the BashA Kitchen team for their ongoing support of Ukrainian soldiers and for providing free barbecue to defenders along their route.

Record holders were congratulated by Hanna Krysyuk, Viktoriia Tochek, and Bohdan Kysil, who presented certificates to the record initiator, Andrii Bohdanovych Bashensk, founder of BashA Kitchen.

All participants who stood in the queue can join the official record registry by submitting a photo or video confirming their participation, after which they can receive a personalized online certificate as a record participant.

The event in Zhovkva was not only a Ukrainian record but also a preparatory stage for a world record, which the BashA Kitchen team plans to set with international experts.

The event was dedicated to all Ukrainian defenders who fight daily to protect Ukraine.
