On September 21, 2025, at Vicheva Square in the city of Zhovkva, a world record was officially registered in the categories “Size” and “First-Time Achievement.”
The record was set by the Zhovkva Embroidered Rosary of Peace, which measures 15 meters and 60 centimeters in length.
The idea and execution of this unique creation belong to Halyna Kovalska, for whom this rosary holds special significance. For over seven months, the master worked on it in prayer: carefully selecting phrases and choosing patterns so that tens of thousands of stitches would come together into a single whole. The design was thoughtfully planned not only to be the largest but also complete and accessible, allowing people to come, take photographs, and pray near it.
The rosary was presented as part of Zhovkva City Day and the International Day of Peace.
The five-time record holder of the World Records Book, Halyna Kovalska, and her partners were congratulated by representatives of the World Records Book: General Director Hanna Krysyuk, as well as Nadiya Lozan, Ivan Lozan, and Yelyzaveta Omelchenko. They verified all the measurements of the rosary, confirmed the authenticity of the record, and officially announced its entry into the World Records Book.
During the record-setting event, Hanna Krysyuk presented Halyna Kovalska with a blue-and-yellow rosary from the World Records Book as a token of gratitude for her contributions to the people and Ukraine. Additionally, Hanna Krysyuk noted that Halyna has already been nominated to become a brand ambassador of the World Records Book, with the official award ceremony scheduled for October 27 in Kyiv.
In turn, Halyna Kovalska expressed her gratitude to the partners who supported the initiative and helped implement the project:
