On September 21, 2025, in the village of Murovane, Lviv Raion, Lviv Oblast, a unique gastronomic record was officially registered – “The Largest Apple Cake in Ukraine”, which has been entered into the World Records Book.
The record-breaking dessert measured 80 meters in length and weighed 540 kilograms. It was composed of 216 individual cakes, combined into a true masterpiece of culinary art. The event became a symbol of community unity and the promotion of traditional Ukrainian treats.
The record was verified by representatives of the World Records Book:

The record-setting and verification involved the following communities:
- Novhorod-Siverska City Territorial Community (Chernihiv Oblast)
- Verkhovtsivska City Territorial Community (Kamianske Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast)
- Murovane Village Territorial Community (Lviv Raion, Lviv Oblast)
This record confirmed that Ukrainian culinary heritage and hospitality can impress not only with taste but also with scale, bringing people together around traditional values.
