Start of the world record “The largest number of assembled generators for Ukraine in the shortest time”

On December 20, in Lviv, volunteers of the charitable foundations “Nova Ukraine” and “Razom” with the support of the Lviv Regional Military Organization and the International Headquarters of Assistance to Ukrainians officially started setting a world record.

After the start of the blackouts, the teams of the charitable foundations “Nova Ukraine” and “Razom” in the United States conducted a large-scale fundraising for generators. American citizens and companies were concerned about the situation in Ukraine and donated funds to bring more than 1001 generators to Ukraine.

Therefore, the current task of the initiators of the record is to purchase and deliver the largest number of generators to Ukraine as soon as possible within the declared record time – one month.

The greeting speeches were delivered by Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of Lviv Regional State Administration; Iryna Berezhnytska, Regional Coordinator and Head of Supply of Nova Ukraine Charitable Foundation; Evelina Kurilets, Director of Together for Ukraine Charitable Foundation; Lyuba Shipovych, Vice President of Razom for Ukraine Foundation; Hanna Krysiuk, Head of the International Headquarters to Assist Ukrainians, Director General of the Book ofWorld Records.

“This record once again reminds all Ukrainians – we cannot be broken, frightened or defeated. Ukrainians are able to overcome any difficulties, and nothing will stop us on the way to victory,” emphasized Hanna Krysiuk.

The event was also attended by Yana Konok, Executive Director of the Book of World Records, Dmytro Shulmeister, representative of the Lviv Defense Cluster, Kostyantyn Kostyrko, representative of the International Headquarters of Assistance to Ukrainians, volunteers, civil society activists and media representatives.

After the start of the record a round table was held among the participants of the event. They discussed further work and cooperation in the framework of volunteer activities.

The record will be fixed on January 20, 2023, when the result of collecting generators for Ukraine from donors and partners from around the world will be summed up.
