5137 participants from 55 countries sang the National Anthem of Ukraine and set a world record.
The achievement was registered by the Director General of the Book of World Records Hanna Krysiuk and the representative of the Book, Head of the International Association of Ukrainian Women Alina Skomorokhova.
“Ukrainians are a strong nation. We are able to unite and defend our ideals and our future. We have a great state, a strong army and an unbreakable people. We definitely want to live peacefully and prosper on our fertile land, in beautiful Ukraine. And Ukrainians will not allow anyone to encroach on their European democratic future”, – said Hanna.
The event is organized by the International Headquarters to Assist Ukrainians with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The event is timed to the 31st anniversary of the Independence Day of Ukraine.
The purpose of the record is to consolidate Ukrainians around the world, to draw foreigners’ attention to the war in Ukraine and to raise funds to support Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the implementation of the projects of the International Headquarters to Assist Ukrainians, in particular “1000 Freedom Cars”, “Food Kits for Ukrainians” and “Restoration of rehabilitation units for defenders of Ukraine”.
