On August 22, 2025, in Kyiv region, a unique event took place in the field of science and renewable energy. During the presentation of developments by the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, a Ukrainian record was officially certified in the “Inventions” category – the first mobile automatic solar power station of the tracker type.
The development was created by Onipko Energy LLC and its chief designer, Oleksiy Onipko, an honored inventor of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, and Doctor of Technical Sciences.
The formal recognition of this achievement took place as part of the presentation of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences’ developments in renewable energy, dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day. The record was certified and the award presented by Hanna Krysiuk, CEO of the Book of World Records. She was joined by Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko, Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, who congratulated the developers. Alongside Oleksiy Onipko, congratulations were also extended to Oleksandr Tokarchuk, Vice-President of UAS and Chairman of the Board of Onipko Energy LLC, and Serhiy Tovstik, Director of Onipko Energy LLC.
The new mobile solar power station stands out for its ability to automatically adjust the angle of its panels toward the sun, significantly increasing energy generation efficiency. Its mobility also allows the station to be deployed quickly in any terrain, which is especially important for ensuring uninterrupted energy supply during martial law and crisis situations.
“This invention is not only a technical breakthrough but also a significant contribution to the energy security of our country. We are proud that Ukrainian scientists are creating solutions capable of shaping the future,” emphasized Hanna Krysiuk during the award ceremony.
The event became a landmark moment for Ukrainian science, once again proving that despite all challenges, the country continues to develop its own innovations, strengthening Ukraine’s energy independence.
