Pushup Man of Punjab, India

Youngest Fitness Icon of Punjab

Conferred with the honorary Kentucky Colonel rank authorized by Governor Andy Beshear (USA)

— You are widely known as the Pushup Man of Punjab / India and as an athlete who has set dozens of records in physical exercises. Tell us, where did your sports journey begin? What was the first motivation that led you from ordinary training sessions to record-breaking achievements?

“My journey in sports began in a very simple way — without professional training or special conditions. During my school days, I started with basic bodyweight exercises to improve my fitness and discipline. Over time, consistency became my greatest strength. My main motivation was the desire to test my physical and mental limits.”

Today, his story inspires young people across different countries, as the athlete repeatedly emphasizes that perfect conditions are not necessary to begin — what truly matters is the willingness to work on yourself and remain consistent.

— Your officially recognized Book of World Records achievement is 89 decline knuckle push-ups in one minute with one leg raised. You combined several difficult elements at once: incline, balance, and high speed. Why did you choose such a complex format for this challenge?

“I wanted not only to set a record but also to show that the human body is capable of extraordinary performance when discipline and mental strength work together. The hardest part was maintaining balance and speed control at the same time. In this exercise, perfect technique matters just as much as speed.”

According to the record holder, such achievements are not about one performance — they are the result of years of preparation, endurance, and daily discipline. Before the record attempt, he trained every day, gradually improving not only his physical condition but also his mental focus.

— During a record attempt, there is only one minute, but behind it stand months of discipline. What did you feel during the final seconds of the performance?

“The final 10 seconds are more of a battle with yourself than with physical exhaustion. At that moment, the muscles are already fatigued, but mental endurance becomes the deciding factor. You simply cannot allow yourself to stop.”

After completing the record, the athlete admits that the strongest emotions were relief and gratitude — gratitude for the journey, discipline, and years of hard work that made the achievement possible.

Today, Kuwar Amritbir Singh has dozens of international records and sports recognitions behind him. His name is now associated with endurance, discipline, and the constant desire to push beyond personal limits. And every new record attempt becomes an even greater responsibility to surpass himself once again.

— How does the feeling before each new record attempt change over time? Does experience make it easier, or does the responsibility become even greater?

“With experience comes not only confidence but also higher standards. Every new record is no longer just a personal challenge — it becomes a responsibility to perform even better. It does not become easier, but experience helps you stay calmer under pressure and control your emotions better.”

The athlete also pays special attention to young people who are only beginning their journey in sports and self-development. He strongly believes that real results are born not from ideal conditions but from everyday dedication.

— You achieved high-level results without professional gyms or expensive equipment. What advice would you give to young people who doubt themselves because they lack conditions, money, or opportunities?

“Do not wait for perfect conditions. You do not need an expensive gym or equipment to start. The greatest training tool is your own body. Discipline and consistency are what truly matter.”

The athlete also shared that one of his future goals is to add another title to his name — GLOBAL ICON.

Among the quotes that continue to motivate him, one holds a particularly special meaning:

“With Great Power comes Great Responsibility.”

“It is not enough to simply become successful. What matters more is to remain responsible, especially after achieving success,” the record holder believes.

His story is an example of how strength of character, self-discipline, and belief in your own abilities can transform an ordinary beginning into a path toward international recognition.
