In Italy, a Collective Painting “DIM-UKRO” Enters the World Records Book

On September 28, 2025, in Trento, as part of the UKRO-2025 festival, a Ukrainian record was set in the “Mass Events” category.

Over five hundred Ukrainians, specifically 514 participants, joined together abroad to create the collective painting “DIM-UKRO”, depicting landscapes of their homeland. The canvas, 2 meters in height and 2.15 meters in width, became a symbol of unity, creativity, and the continuous connection of Ukrainians with their homeland.

A special feature of the painting was that its base consisted of frames used to weave camouflage nets for Ukrainian soldiers. In this way, the artistic record combined the idea of cultural heritage with remembrance of those defending Ukraine.

The record was officially certified by Nadiya Bereziuk, representative of the Expert Council of the World Records Book and Director of the magazine Business Woman’s overseas office in Italy. She verified the number of participants and confirmed that all criteria were met.

The UKRO festival is traditionally traveling, moving from city to city each year depending on which Ukrainian group won the previous year. This year, Trento became the center of Ukrainian unity in Italy, and the established record has permanently entered history.
