On October 26, 2025, in the city of Zhovkva, Lviv region, the team of BashA Kitchen officially set a world record — “The Largest Number of Barbecue Dishes (ribs, strips, pork knuckles, sausages, neck, wings) Prepared and Served in 5 Hours.”
In just five hours, chefs under the guidance of founder Andrii Bohdanovych Bashensk prepared and served 32,905 portions of barbecue, achieving a result unparalleled anywhere in the world.
The event was supported by the company Halytska Svizhyna, and the record was verified by representatives of the World Record Book in the categories “Mass Events” and “First-Time Achievements.”
The record holders were officially congratulated by Hanna Krysyuk, CEO of the World Record Book, along with representatives Nadiia Lozan, Ivan Lozan, and Halyna Kovalska.
“This is not just a record — it is a symbol of the strength of the Ukrainian spirit, flavor, and hard work,” emphasized Hanna Krysyuk.
Previously, Ukraine held only a national record (Mariupol, 2021), when the Ukrainian Armed Forces prepared 700 kg of meat on 401 skewers. Now, Ukrainian cuisine has reached the global level in the category of mass barbecue, proving that Ukrainian barbecue is a culinary brand of international scale.
