On 1 November 2024, a world record was set in Kyiv for the largest screening of the documentary ZLO about the war in Ukraine.
Our goal was to draw the world’s attention to the realities Ukraine is facing today and to show how the country is defending its European border,” said Larysa Dakhno, the film’s producer.
At the same time, 1749 participants from more than 50 locations and 34 countries attended the screening: Ukraine, Germany, Canada, Czech Republic, Spain, Switzerland, Slovakia, Greece, Norway, Finland, Tenerife, Slovenia, Montenegro, Latvia, Moldova, Estonia, Armenia and others. They include diplomats, politicians, civil servants, business people, military personnel, volunteers and media representatives.
If this film draws the attention of at least a part of civilised society to the events of the terrible, unjust war in Ukraine, changes the understanding of the events and ignites the flame of rejection and resistance against Zl, we will know that our work has not been in vain. Just as the terrible, bloody human sacrifice that Ukraine is now paying, fighting against the Russian invasion, is not in vain,’ added Olena Moshynska, the film’s director.
Everyone had the opportunity to take part in fundraising for facial operations for our war-wounded defenders.
Today Ukrainians and people from more than 30 countries have come together for a world record that has become historic for Ukraine,’ said Hanna Krysiuk, CEO of the Book of World Records. This is not just a regular campaign – it is the voice of truth that should inform the whole world about the reality of what is happening in our country. Thousands of people should see the film in these 24 hours. It should go viral, wake up the world and show the danger that hangs not only over Ukraine, but over the whole of Europe.
The event was organised with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the International assistance headquarters for Ukrainians and the World Ukrainians Association.
