A World Record Set in Bordighera: The Largest Immigration Law Lecture in the World

On November 22, 2025, in the Italian city of Bordighera, a world record was officially registered, marking a historic moment for the international Ukrainian community. The record was set in the categories “First Time” and “Mass Events” during the lecture “Run Already or Stay in Place? Directions of Ukrainian Migration on the Threshold of a Global Financial and Political Collapse.”

The event became a significant moment not only for the organizers but also for all Ukrainians abroad, as the lecture gathered a record audience of 1,031 participants who joined through simultaneous online broadcasts on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. The large number of views and the public’s interest confirmed that issues of migration and legal strategies remain among the most relevant topics for Ukrainians around the world.

The event was dedicated to analyzing global migration trends, the impact of global financial and political instability on Ukrainians, as well as the countries that are opening or changing immigration rules. During the lecture, participants received practical advice on safe planning of relocation, adaptation, and the risks associated with new rules of immigration systems.

The global nature of the topic and the quality of the presentation contributed to high audience engagement, with viewers joining the broadcasts from different continents, demonstrating how important awareness of migration processes is for Ukrainians.

The initiator of the lecture and the record-holder is Dmytro Mahdych, who has long been involved in researching migration processes and the legal aspects of the movement of citizens.

A special role in preparing and implementing the event belonged to his partner and wife, Viktoriia Mahdych, who was awarded for her significant support and organizational contribution to the establishment of the record.

The record in Bordighera was certified by Nadiia Bereziuk, a representative of the World Records Book in Italy.

The organizers also received online congratulations from Hanna Krysiuk, the General Director of the World Records Book, who highlighted the importance of this event for promoting legal awareness among Ukrainians and supporting the global Ukrainian community.

The record in Bordighera became not just a registration of the number of participants — it became a symbol of unity, relevance, and the desire of Ukrainians to understand global processes in order to make informed decisions about their own future.
