Today, in the center of Zhovkva, Lviv region, the city’s main Christmas tree was officially lit — and it immediately became a record-setting one. It features a unique collection that has now secured the city a place in national history.
On December 5, 2025, a Ukrainian Record was officially confirmed in the category “Collections” — “The Largest Number of Embroidered Christmas Ornaments in Ukraine.”
The tree displays 340 embroidered ornaments, gathered and created by Halyna Kovalska.
The project was supported by the Art Studio “TALANT” led by Nataliia Kaminska, which contributed to the decoration and presentation of the record-setting installation.
The official record verification was carried out by representatives of the World Record Book, Ivan and Nadiia Lozan, who presented the certificates and congratulated the record holders. The achievement was also recorded by Oleh Volskyi, Head of the Zhovkva City Council, who emphasized the importance of this event for the entire community.
Zhovkva has begun the winter holidays with a bright achievement, turning its main Christmas tree into an artistic symbol that has brought nationwide recognition to the city.
