On June 28, in the heart of Lviv near the Lviv Regional Council, a new Ukrainian record was set — the largest copy of the Ukrainian Constitution made from confectionery.
The initiative was spearheaded by BISCOTTI LLC and Taras Podvirnyi, a representative of the Ombudsman’s Office in the Lviv region.
This event was highly symbolic, bringing together local authorities, entrepreneurs, military personnel, and citizens of Lviv to celebrate Constitution Day of Ukraine.
The day’s festivities began with the raising of the national flag, led by Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration. Following this, cadets from the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Ground Forces Academy marched in a ceremonial parade, paying tribute to Ukraine’s national symbols.
Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, the academy’s orchestra performed modern musical compositions, uplifting the spirits of all attendees and setting the stage for the day’s most anticipated event — the official recognition of the new Ukrainian record.
Anna Krysyuk, CEO of the World Records Book, delivered a congratulatory speech to the event’s initiators and participants. She was joined by Maksym Kozytskyi, Acting Chairman of the Lviv Regional Council Yurii Kholod, and World Records Book representatives Snizhana Rozsudovska and Bohdan Kysil, who all officially recorded the achievement.
The Sweet Constitution’s Record-Breaking Stats:
- Length: 3 meters
- Width: 2.1 meters
This enormous edible Constitution is now a record-holder in Ukraine!
Congratulations to the organizers for their creativity and dedication, contributing to the celebration of Ukrainian statehood!
A special note: The record-breaking confection was later distributed to soldiers in hospitals across the Lviv region. Each serviceman also received a symbolic copy of the Ukrainian Constitution, specially designed by the Ombudsman’s Office for this significant occasion.
