On September 23, 2025, in Budapest (Hungary), the Ukrainian community presented a unique creation — the “Unity Towel,” made using the traditional block-printing technique. It became a symbol of unity among Ukrainians abroad and was officially recognized as a national record of Ukraine.
The creation of the towel was a joint effort of the Ukrainian Association “Yednist,” artisan Khrystyna Blahodir, and the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary.
The record was made possible with the support of the Public Union “World Ukrainian Community” and Business Woman magazine.
The ceremony was attended by the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Hungary, Mr. Zoltán Horváth, as well as representatives of diplomatic and cultural circles. A special congratulatory address was delivered by Hanna Krysiuk, General Director of the World Record Book of Ukraine, who emphasized the importance of cultural initiatives of Ukrainians abroad and their contribution to preserving national heritage.
The “Unity Towel” has become not only a record but also a symbol of how Ukrainian traditions and collective efforts can unite people anywhere in the world, inspiring communities toward new cultural initiatives and mutual support.
