A New World Record Set at the Highest Point of Ukraine!

Every day, Ukrainian police officers prove that nothing is impossible for them — whether on the front lines or on the highest mountain peaks. On September 28, 2026, at the very summit of Mount Hoverla, at an altitude of 2,061 meters above sea level, an extraordinary event took place, demonstrating remarkable strength, endurance, and an iron will. In challenging high-altitude conditions, where even a standard ascent requires significant effort, a true battle of spirit and athletic conditioning unfolded.

At the top of the Ukrainian Carpathians, a new world record was officially set: the fastest team execution of 1,000 bench presses with a 100 kg barbell by a 10-member team.

Record completion time: 58 minutes 11 seconds

This record was not merely a test of physical power and team synergy. It was dedicated to the cherished memory of fallen brothers-in-arms who gave their lives for the freedom, independence, and peaceful future of Ukraine. Every repetition at an elevation of over two thousand meters was driven by deep respect for those who remain forever in the ranks.

The record was set by fighters from the “Safari” Regiment of the United Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine “Lut” (Fury), namely: Serhii Kurylenko, Yevhen Kuropiatkin, Oleksii Chyzh, Ruslan Okhnovskyi, Pavlo Okhnovskyi, Vasyl Mykhalskyi, Valerii Zaverzaiev, Mykola Hrynchuk, Yevhen Lukianov, and Yevhenii Saienko.

The official registration and verification of the record were conducted by Natalia Farmus, a record holder, representative of the “Book of World Records,” and TV presenter at TRK “Halychyna,” who highlighted the iron discipline and resilience of the athletes.

The heavy sports equipment specially transported and lifted to the peak, extreme high-altitude conditions, and thin air posed no obstacle for our defenders. This achievement once again demonstrated to the world the immense potential of the Ukrainian nation, brotherly support, and unwavering faith in Victory.

Eternal glory and honor to the Heroes! Thank you to our Defenders for their protection and inspiration!
