A New Ukrainian Record: The Largest Collection of Porcelain Dolls in Chernihiv Region!

On June 15, during the live broadcast of “Morning Marathon”, a new Ukrainian record was set — the largest collection of porcelain dolls in Ukraine.

This impressive collection was assembled by Serhii Konovalenko from the town of Dobrianka in the Chernihiv region. He is the proud owner of the “Dobrianets” museum complex and the Toy Museum.

The collection was showcased to the entire country by Kostiantyn Hrubych, a journalist from the 1+1 TV channel, who highlighted Serhii’s diverse activities, including his culinary skills, volunteering, writing, and his museums dedicated to toys and Old Believers.

The collection boasts an astounding 1,537 different types of porcelain dolls. It includes “Ladies of the Epoch,” dolls representing cultures from around the world, tiny babies, and other unique pieces, each distinct from one another. Notably, the collection also includes dolls from Victoria Vladovych, who had a passion for collecting similar dolls during her lifetime. After her passing, her children, Anna, Kateryna, and Mykola, entrusted her entire collection to Serhii’s museum for safekeeping.

The record was officially documented by Snizhana Rozsudovska, the Communications Manager of the World Records Book. She expressed her gratitude to the collector for allowing everyone to feel like a child once more while exploring the collection, and she praised his dedication to this hobby over the many years of his life.
