A new world record has been officially confirmed in Germany — the Largest Ethno Fashion Show in Germany by the brand O.S. Brand with the collection “Mother’s Shirt” and Ukrainian jewelry by Zarmilkas. The event took place on December 6, 2025, in Hamburg and became a vivid showcase of Ukrainian culture, creativity, and international unity. It brought together participants from several countries who traveled specifically to take part in the show.
The record was set by the “Mother’s Shirt” collection created by designer Oksana Shoorlemmer in collaboration with the jewelry brand Zarmilkas by Lyudmyla Shanska. Their joint work — embroidered outfits, handmade jewelry, and poems written by Oksana Shoorlemmer’s mother — formed the foundation of this large-scale ethnic showcase.
The five-minute runway show featuring 100 models became more than a fashion event. It served as a cultural gesture that introduced Europe to Ukrainian authenticity and national identity.
The world record was confirmed by Hanna Krysyuk, CEO of the World Record Book, who personally verified the achievement and presented awards to the organizers — Oksana Shoorlemmer and Lyudmyla Shanska.
“Today’s record united an extraordinary number of Ukrainians who came to Hamburg from different countries. For us, this is not just a show — it is a story of our memory, identity, and the strength of our community.
Oksana Shoorlemmer collected her mother’s poems, and together with Lyudmyla Shanska created these unique shirts in a very short time. Every element of this show proves that the Ukrainian spirit remains alive and strong, even far from home,” said Hanna.
The record verification was conducted together with representatives of the World Record Book:
• Volodymyr Kupchak, Doctor of Economics and Professor
• Oleksandr Lazuka, Adviser to the Ukrainian Ombudsman for Human Rights in Belgium and EU institutions
They congratulated the participants, took part in the counting, and officially confirmed the record.
Beyond its cultural significance, the show also carries an important social mission. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the shirts and jewelry will be directed toward creating, in 2026, a special collection for women in the military — featuring embroidered shirts, jewelry, and original poems dedicated to Ukrainian servicewomen, including those who survived captivity or currently serve on the front lines.
“For me, this event holds special meaning because it is not only about fashion — it is about a social mission. We want to support Ukrainian designers, promote everything Ukrainian in Europe, and unite women around our identity. This is the path that helps us speak about Ukraine loudly, proudly, and with inspiration,” said Oksana Shoorlemmer.
The event entered the World Record Book in the category “Mass Events, First-Time Achievements,” becoming yet another international recognition of the strength of Ukrainian culture and women’s leadership.
