On August 24, 2026, on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, an official record of Ukraine in kettlebell lifting was set in Lviv. The author of the achievement was Senior Lieutenant Anzhelika Namiesnik, Head of the Training Complex of the Physical Education and Sports Department at the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy and a graduate of the Academy.
Within one hour, the servicewoman completed 1,565 snatches of a 12 kg kettlebell with arbitrary hand changes. The achievement was officially registered under the “Sports” and “First Time” categories. For the athlete, this outcome serves not only as a personal victory but also as an inspiring professional benchmark for her cadets.
“I thought it would be shameful to look into the eyes of those I train if I didn’t manage. As a coach, I must demonstrate the highest results so that cadets join kettlebell sports, train, set goals, and achieve them,” shared Anzhelika Namiesnik.
The official adjudication and verification were conducted by representatives of “The Book of World Records,” Ivan Lozan and Nadiia Lozan, alongside a panel of experts: Maksym Babych, Dmytro Kurochkin, and Oleksandr Lytvyn. Following her performance, the record-holder was officially awarded a certificate from “The Book of World Records.”
